Signs, Signs Everwhere a Sign… May 30, 2008

It’s a big day at facelogic Town Center – we have a sign!!!! Well, if you drive by technically its covered with a piece of plastic so as to not anger the powers that be in the city of Kennesaw but I promise there is a facelogic sign uner there.  Since you can’t have a sign displayed until you have a Certificate of Occupany, we have black plastic covered signage   Simple.  Yet, effective in passing through the loop hole.  Here’s a sneak peek at it…

Build Out Update – Interior May 30, 2008

We are close to completion on the interior with painting and flooring going in next week.  Furniture and fixture going in on the 9th.  In the meantime check out the product wall….

 

Also the wall behind the desk is complete with cut out for signage as well…

facelogic Around Town! May 19, 2008

So as we start to get the facelogic name out in the community, we hosted a table at a local school Pancake Breakfast fundraiser this weekend and passed out over 200 fliers and worked on growing our marketing list.  We did two give aways to folks who registered for the drawing between 7am and noon.  We gave away a free facial and a free brown design.  Congrats to our winner!  Melissa Geisland and Belinda Brazile both of Marietta, GA.  Here is a picture from the event…

 

 

 

Madi was very patient and a good sport all morning long.  I bribed her with fruit roll ups and lolly pops.  I am shameless.  Also of note, I was there in the facelogic uniform (my facelogic tee and black pants) at 7 AM in full hair and makeup.  This is remarkable for two reasons 1.) I am not a morning person and 2.) I was the only mom dressed up with hair and face done up.  Needless to say I stuck out like a sore thumb in the baseball cap and pony tail crowd in a school gym

Starting to Look like a Real Spa! May 16, 2008

Here are the latest and greatest build out pictures.  Electrical complete and inspected, drywall done by this weekend and the finishers come on Tuesday (prime walls, install fixtures and light switched, etc.).  Next week, doors and paint.  The furniture and decor are on its way here – so is product and glass.  Sign will go up next week but will be covered until we get our CO from the City of Kennesaw.  Flooring is a little further out but could all be wrapped up by the first week in June.  This looks close to completion folks – fingers crossed.

Congrats to Dunkin’! May 13, 2008

So as I have blogged about in the past, our neighbor at the Shoppes at Ridenour is the Dunkin Donuts which opens on Wednesday.  We are really excited about the traffic they will bring to our shopping center and the inside is like no Dunkin’ you have seen before.  Gorgeous wood panelling, antique framed pictures and high end seating (from our very same stool vendor)!  They also have outdoor seating which we are thrilled to see as that will increase our foot traffic tremendously.  I snapped the shot below this weekend…

Ah, Sweet Progress! May 12, 2008

So in five days of construction there has been real progress.  The plumbing is done and inspected in both the bathroom and the newly added wash room where our washer and dryer will be housed along with utility sink.  Also all the framing is up and the spa is starting to take shape.  You can see the layout and where the office will be and each of the treatment areas.  It is truly exciting and the most progress we have seen all year (and I do mean all year since we have been in possession of the property since February).  We are shooting for our CO by June 7th and for the first time in this whole process it looks as though we may hit a target date (knock wood). 

The progress will continue this week with the electrical inspection being done tomorrow and we will be hanging lights in the treatment areas as well.  This week will begin the drywalling which should be complete by Friday.  Next up, flooring and painting (fingers crossed).

So as promised, I am posting pictures to show the real, live progress.

We Have Visual Confirmation… May 6, 2008

This, my friends is the long awaited City of Kennesaw Building Permit.  Fabled to exist only in its native Building Services Office environment, we captured this stray creature in the actual window of facelogic Town Center.  Now I know it is hard to believe but photographic evidence does not lie!  Next on our list – video of real life plumbers doing actual work!

Caution Sunburns Ahead! May 5, 2008
